Tamsa

TAMSA is a sustainable clothing brand based in Duitama, Boyacá that is dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of the fashion industry. The name "TAMSA" derives from the Chibcha language spoken by the Muisca and means "tribute," which is a nod to the brand's respect for Boyacá's heritage. Founded in 2021 by childhood friends María Fernanda Torres and Camila Villamil, TAMSA draws inspiration from the founders' experiences as au pairs in the United States, where they witnessed a profound appreciation for people's origins, universities, and places visited. As a result of the pandemic, they returned to Boyacá with an idea: to redefine the narrative of what it means to be a boyacense. Their clothing is made from eco-friendly materials such as organic cotton, recycled polyester, and upcycled fabrics, designed to be long-lasting and timeless. With TAMSA, each garment represents the strength and pride of Boyacá - a tribute to its identity, language, and culture.
